This one-loop campground is cozily positioned on the southern shore of fascinating Lake Quinault, in the midst of temperate rainforest. The 21 campsites it is offering to its guests (19 are suitable for RV’s up to 16’ and trailers, and 2 are just walk-in tent sites) are spread over the lakeshore among the giant conifers and pretty dense understorey providing the campers with privacy and solitude. There are 4 accessible campsites and a day-use picnic area here. - potable water system
- boat ramp
- day-use picnic sites
- day-use parking
- pay station
- barrier-free flush toilet
- large covered shelter
For some additional payment you may also use the amenities (like showers, indoor pool, game room, etc.) offered by Lake Quinault Lodge, which is located in less than a mile from the campground.
But the main attraction and value of Willaby Campground is in the wide range of activities that are available for its campers:
- picnicking
- nature viewing
- boating
- kayaking
- swimming
- interpretive possibilities
- hiking (15 miles of various trails meandering along the shoreline and throughout the forest)
There is also a restaurant and a gift shop at the Lake Quinault Lodge, as well as a general store across the road from it. It should be also mentioned that the registration for the campground is also done at the Lake Quinault Lodge.
All these together with unbelievably remarkable views of Lake Quinault and the mountainous area of the Olympic National Park across the lake will make this experience unforgettable for you, creating a strong desire to come back here again.
