Washington State is one of the most geographically beautiful and diverse states in the country. There are mountains and deserts, beautiful ocean shores and unique rainforests, active volcanoes and unusual canyons.

East Washington Vantage Road 1 is one of the scenic routes in the state. It takes you along the Columbia River and open wonderful views not only on this majestic river, but also on the surrounding territories.
East Washington Vantage Road 1 takes you to one of the most perfect recreational destinations in this region – Frenchman Coulee. Frenchman Coulee located near Quincy, Washington.
It is a perfect destination not only for the hikers, but also for climbers. Summer is the most “hot” season, because rock climbers come here to enjoy these tall basalt columns that form the coulee walls. The trail is accessible year-round.
Frenchman Coulee is called Vantage by many climbers. There are over 600 routes for climbing in the area that range from 5.2 to 5.13.
The hiking route as well as the driving around here is truly scenic. Basalt rocks are also great. They give the opportunity to enjoy the indescribable power and beauty of the nature.
